Starting 2010, Valmet Automotives will start producing about 15.000 Fisker Karmas per year. Valmet Automotive, located in Finland, also manufactures the Porsche Cayman and Porsche Boxter.

The stop-start technology for Smart ForTwo MHD (micro hybrid) was first introduced in 2007 and it will be fitted to all its petrol models as standard starting with October 2008.
